The new weekly hitlist by the American Billboard magazine ranks the top global songs based on streaming and sales activity from more than 200 countries except the United States. The chart officially launched on September 15, 2020, hence why Rihanna had no chance to land on it before. But thanks to the impact of TikTok, Rihanna’s almost 14 years old single “Umbrella“ made its way to the charts now.

The “Good Girl Gone Bad“ lead single debuts at #188 on the chart announced for January 16. The song is gaining views on all platforms for months as several sounds went viral on TikTok.

According to the fan-run account FentySpotify Umbrella“ featuring Jay-Z had its biggest streaming week ever on Spotify with over 4.6 million streams between January 8 – 14.
